Abstract
The article brings a comprehensive view of the shopping tourism in Austrian-Slovak direction. Firstly, the various definitions of surveyed matter are presented. In the next section is the area of interest picked up. A price monitoring brings an effective way for theoretical base and prediction of customers' shopping behaviour. A major part of the article lies in the results of realised questionnaire research that reflects Austrian customers' perception to the mentioned phenomenon in Slovakia. The last part is focused on connection between shopping tourism and regional development.
