Abstract

The paper points out the selected human geographical factors that have influence on the final level of serviceability by public transport on the example of the city of Nitra. Firstly, the geographical characteristics of particular city parts of Nitra are described in terms of their functionality, demographical and residential aspects as well as primary indicators of serviceability. The main part of the paper lies in the detailed description of serviceability by lines of urban bus transport depending on the selected indicators. Particular city areas are compared between each other, while we refer to predominant factors affecting on the transport serviceability. Finally, the main concluding remark are presented and there are also designed some visions of future tending of serviceability of the Nitra city.
