Abstract
The value of soil reaction depends on the environmental and ecological factors. These factors impact positively and negatively on the change of pH values in the soil. Variance analysis, we found that on the active pH values are influence factors considered as follows: land use and soil type at the significance level α = 0.05. We investigated the differences in the values of active soil reaction on grass and forest ecosystem in Kremnické and Štiavnické mountains in identified soil types in selected periods (spring, autumn) 2011 - 2014 years. The greatest variability and maximum value of active soil reaction was found in the soil of the forest (p <0.05). Soil reaction was influenced among others inclination of relief, seasons and locality. Our paper shows the importance of monitoring pH values in soil samples. We present the possibilities of parametric tests when evaluating pH values in soils based on environmental and ecological factors.
