Abstract
Environmental impacts of traffic is one of the most discussed topics. Of these, emissions and noise have the most significant impact on the environment and human health. There are several methodologies for modelling their production and dispersion. These models tend to be part of the environmental impact assessment in the case of transport planning and the creation of various strategic documents – for example Sustainable urban mobility plans. The creation of these models requires a relatively large amount of input data of various nature and from various fields. This article summarizes the requirements and possible data sources for these emission and noise models available in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It also evaluates the availability and complexity of preparing data for these models.
