Abstract
In this paper, we compare land consolidation projects between Slovakia and Czech Republic, focusing on their content, time and financial demanding. Land consolidation are a unique tool for creating a functional framework consisting of layout of the land, parcels, disposition of types of land, communication, water management, anti-erosion, environmental, terrain, and other measures. As an example, we chose two cadastral areas that have comparable ownership and landscape parameters. In Slovakia, we chose cadastral area Nýrovce located in the district of Levice with an area of 1,349 ha. Land consolidation in the village were began in 2005 and ended in 2014 by registration in the cadastre of real estates. In the Czech Republic, we have chosen as an example cadastral area Milotice u Kyjova, located in the South Moravian Region, Hododín district with an area of 1,260 ha. In Milotice, land consolidation began in 2008 and ended with registration in the cadastre of real estates in 2014.
