Abstract
At present, a constructivist approach is increasingly being applied in geographical education, which is the starting point for inquiry-based education. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the view of teachers and students on the teaching of geography, implemented using inquiry-based activities created within the project ExpEdícia – try, explore, get to know (non-profit organization Indícia). Our surveys conducted by the questionnaire method show that inquiry-based education provides students with many benefits (increased motivation, development of scientific work skills, soft skills), but it is also related to several challenges mentioned in the article.
