Abstract
Education for nature and landscape protection currently plays an important role in the education system in forming a positive attitude of students to nature, as well as understanding its laws, principles of operation, including human interventions that have a negative impact on the environment. Based on current environmental problems, there is a need to place more emphasis in the educational process on teaching subjects that create a real picture of the landscape and its development, which allows students to understand the relationships between the various components of the landscape. From the aspect of nature and landscape protection, geography, as one of the subjects in primary and secondary schools, is the most current subject, which allows students to understand the laws of socio-historical development, relationships and connections between natural and social phenomena and their impact on the environment. Geography, like science, has a high interdisciplinary character, which allows students to acquire concepts, facts and laws from various scientific fields, after which they are able to derive connections, find causal relationships, possible consequences of phenomena and situations.
