Abstract

The article aims to evaluate the main development potential and development factors in the village of Župkov, which need to focus on the local, and regional development strategy, the Village Renewal Program, the Local Development Strategy for Tourism and Regional Culture, and the project for the municipality and the Kľak microregion with its social importance. Methodological work is based on the system model, structures, and individual functions of regional development according to Ivanička and Ivaničková (2007). In the exploratory part of the thesis, the methodology is applied according to the manual of the Program of Economic Development and Social Development of the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. The elaborated and defined individual project intentions and their content within various strategic documents are in line with the institutional framework of public strategy development and respect the methodological guideline, which is part of the Partnership Agreement of the Slovak Republic as a material for meeting the long-term objectives of public strategies for local and regional development. The preparation of such documents is one of the conditions for the submission of an application to a higher territorial unit and serves the municipality for obtain resources from state budget subsidies and supplementary resources in the framework of regional development support, as amended.
