Abstract

The paper deals with an intraurban regionalization of the retail amenity modeled on certain conditions. In the city of Nitra, 36 new spatial units were created. On the level of these regional formations, we elaborated several retail network analyses for the year 2008 which reflect the strength of retail amenity, namely the purchasing power of the Nitra population in €/year, the number of retail stores, index of types selection, areal and operating parameter. Synthesis of partial results, which was done by a simple dot method, resulted in the determination of five stages of the retail amenity of the created spatial units from very low to very high.
